Palo Verdi in Bloom, Tucson Mountain Park

In May of 2005, the Sonoran desert west of Tucson was in bloom. Most noticeable were the Palo Verdi, highlighted in this photo. Strong backlighting outlined the saguaro cacti by illuminating their spines.
