Flowering Trees, Durand Eastman Park, Rochester NY

Durand Eastman Park houses an arboretum that explodes with color in the spring. The original photograph included three different types of flowering trees. This image was made by taking a section of the original picture and mirror-imaging it both vertically and horizontally. The result is a symmetrical kaleidoscope of color that suggests the pattern of an oriental rug.
